What actually matters when you buy one
Most spacers look identical in a photograph. They are not. Four things decide whether the one you buy works on your car, and all four are checkable before you pay.
The thread has to match
Oxygen sensors are threaded, and the overwhelming majority of vehicles use M18 × 1.5 on the downstream sensor. A spacer has to have that same thread on both ends: a male thread that screws into your exhaust bung, and a female thread that your sensor screws into.

Stainless steel, not mild steel
This is where cheap imports fail first. A spacer sits in the exhaust stream and takes constant heat cycling, condensation on every cold start, and salt air if you are anywhere near the coast. Mild steel — plated or not — corrodes, and it usually corrodes on the inside where the sensor threads are. The result is a sensor welded into a spacer by rust, which turns a fifteen-minute job into an angle grinder job later.
Ask what the body is made of. If the listing does not say "stainless steel", assume it is not.
Catalyst element inside, or just a hollow tube?
There are two different products both sold as "O₂ sensor spacers".
A plain hollow spacer is a threaded tube. It works purely by distance — it moves the sensor out of the direct exhaust stream so it samples less gas.
A mini catalytic converter spacer has a miniature catalyst element inside the body. As well as recessing the sensor, it treats the small amount of gas that reaches the sensor chamber, so the signal the sensor produces is damped further. That difference is why the two types do not perform the same. Plenty of cars that keep setting P0420 with a hollow tube fitted will pass with a catalyst-element type.
Listings are often vague about this on purpose. If it does not explicitly say there is a catalyst element inside, take it as hollow.
Length, and the sensor is not included
